The Men's programme at Miramar is very strong and our club is renowned for offering a full competition calendar throughout the year.
Men’s Competition Days, Trophy Events and Club Championships are always extremely well supported. Whether it is Wednesday Men, Friday Twilight, Championship Qualifying, Championship Matchplay, Sunday Individual, Sunday Teams or Race to Miramar, the attendance is excellent.
Golf tournaments featuring individual, mixed and team formats are an ideal way to meet new people and make friends. If you’re an under-35 male and you want to get involved, consider a Pairs or Teams Event for a taste of competition golf. It’s easy to register for an event using the golf club’s
website.
Friday evening Twilight golf, run during daylight savings hours, draws good fields. There is also a Friday member’s draw and raffles.
Interclub
Wellington Regional Interclub generally takes place on Saturdays from late January through to early May. It’s a great way to sharpen up your match play with the additional benefit of playing on other Wellington courses.
We currently have 6 teams representing Miramar in a wide range of divisions. If you are interested in representing the Miramar Golf Club as an Interclub golfer, please contact the clubhouse staff. The club is keen to introduce members to interclub that have not played competitive Match play before, and to grow and develop its interclub squads.
Mixed Events
These are played at least monthly on a Sunday in various formats and on Public Holidays. 9-hole players can participate in the Foursomes events. The Miramar Vets meet on the last Friday of each month; 18-hole from 10.00am and 9-hole from 11.45am, for a Stableford competition.
